Past work: Fujifilm video

Looking back, it’s kind of ironic I was given a job to shoot a camera now that I’ve embarked on a photo series shooting my camera collection. But when I was given the creative deck for the Instax Mini Evo, I was so excited to shoot video for a brand that I love. As I studied the creative, the story we wanted to tell, and features that we needed to show, it became evident that the Mini Evo needed to be shot from every angle. Working with DP Stephen Meierding, we used some basic motion control techniques to film the Mini Evo rotating precisely centered and squared on a turntable so that the editor could rotate the footage 180º mid-take in order to see both the screen and the polaroid upright. This gave it the look of flipping and turning in one continuous take. We used a probe lens to get really close for teaser shots that were vignetted for a macro view of the buttons, lens and shutter release. It was a techy shoot that was all about the details and so much fun!
